The concept of a mastermind is officially 100 years old this year. Back in 1925, Napoleon Hill wrote a book, The Law of Success, and coined the phrase “mastermind.” While some people may be familiar with business-oriented mastermind groups, Reproducers for Christ is initiating our first (and second) mastermind, geared specifically toward disciple-making.
Here is a general explanation of a mastermind and the potential benefits you can get from being a member of one.
Explanation:
- A mastermind group is a peer-to-peer mentoring group where individuals with similar goals or interests meet regularly to support, advise, and challenge one another to achieve their personal goals.
- This is a form of collaborative learning and problem solving, acting as a collective “brain trust” for its members.
- Members are typically on a similar level in terms of experience or goals, fostering a sense of mutual support and understanding.
- The group acts as a sounding board for ideas and challenges, providing diverse perspectives and potential solutions.
Benefits:
- Accelerated learning: By sharing experiences and best practices, members may shorten the learning curve of individual members.
- Increased motivation and accountability: The group setting can be a powerful motivator to stay on track with your goals.
- Expanded perspectives: members gain new insights from diverse viewpoints and experiences.
- Access to a valuable network: Mastermind groups connect individuals with like-minded peers, creating a supportive and resourceful community.
Two mastermind groups will begin in August 2025; both meeting on the Zoom video platform at no cost to you. One meeting will take place on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM Central Time, and the other will take place on the third Monday of the month at 5:00 PM Central Time. Having two groups available allows you to choose a time that works best for you.
